Stanislawa

Stanislawa (aka Dj Waitress) is a queer visionary artist based in Brussels whose passion for 90s techno and dreamy trance is only matched by her fervor for creating transformative sonic landscapes.

Founder and co-director of the Deep Down East collective, Stanislawa has made it her mission to bring the vibrant techno culture of Eastern Europe to the heart of Western Europe. Her Belgian-French-Polish origins add an evocative layer to her music, drawing inspiration from the very environments that sculpted her identity. Her journey began amidst her father's CDs, where the hypnotic trance, jungle, and techno of the 90s ignited a lifelong passion.

In her sets, Stanislawa weaves a narrative that leads to collective rebellion through a fusion of nostalgic grooves, dreamy trancy sounds, and groovy techno beats.
Her performances are an invitation to spaces of liberation, laced with breaks of "pussy energies," as she pushes the boundaries of creativity and expression.

She solidified her presence on the Belgian landscape, gracing iconic venues like Fuse, Kiosk Radio, C12, and Funke.
Collaborations with Boiler Room and collectives like Not Your Techno, Call of Dirty, Alliance Club and Zaika have further enriched her artistic journey.

But her impact isn't confined to Belgium. Stanislawa's delightful explorations have resonated across Europe, from the pulsating heart of Berlin's Club OST to the Fundraver For Ukraine in the Netherlands. From Poland to Luxembourg, her music has found its way to receptive ears, igniting dance floors and creating lasting memories.
Looking ahead, 2024 promises to unveil some "made in Stanislawa" productions that are sure to delight and captivate audiences. The journey she's embarking upon is one of innovation, creativity, and unapologetic expression.
